So I contacted Milwaukee and they sent me to the automated system to find out they will not warranty the defective 9 amp battery either.
Found out my model was recalled but no one contacted me about the recall for the battery. Maybe used it 15 times more as a backup as it is so heavy. Now I find that my hardly used 9 amp 18v battery is defective and wont charge properly. They refused to help and acknowledge that I reported the issue well inside the warranty time. Milwaukee took their sweet time getting back to me (multiple months) and when they did their reply was the laser is out of warranty (by a few days) and they could not help. After one of the heated jackets died and still in warranty window by a few months I did a warranty request. Bought quite a few Milwaukee tools over the years.
